Simon Estes Music High School present a full daily academic programme that is in accordance with the Western Cape Educational Department which includes the formal teaching of Music, the Languages (English, Xhosa & Afrikaans), Mathematics, the Sciences and the Humanities.

The Principal Nozipho Ngele and Trustee member has selected a small team with extensive teaching and computer skills. Her co-workers bring 240 years combined teaching experience to the school.

Schools History
Five years ago in 1997, Mr. Simon Estes established Simon Estes Music High School, in a house in Southfield, Cape Town. 

Later that year, Simon Estes Music High School had doubled in numbers and the premises became inadequate and new premises had to be found. The school then moved to the current premises that they are currently renting from the Roman Catholic Church.

The community increasingly wants to enroll their children at our school. Two years ago the school was forced to acquired three addition prefabricated classrooms, but even that has become inadequate in accommodation the influx of applicants to our school. The resultant is that each year we have to turn away enthusiastic and talented young learners.

We the staff of Simon Estes Music High School is committed to the all round education, psychological, musical and spiritual development of all our learners. It is our mission to serve the individual needs of all learners in our care and we hope our learner will become "HEROES" of our world. Simon Estes Music High School is dedicated to building long-term relationships with the community through quality education and community support, and wants to be recognized as the leading Music and Academic School in the Greater Cape Town area. the School's goal is to grow steadily and become financially independent.

Objectives

Our emphasis is on providing a complete specialized education based on having a detailed knowledge of the activities being offered. Market research indicates that the major criticism our parents have of existing music schools is that their educators "know nothing about their products, they just open the books and read," to qoute one of many disappointed parents.

By capitalizing on our experience in education, we will be able to both advise and direct our learners to a better future.
